Ege Infrared Detector IR Gauge

Infrared Temperature

Banner's innovative sensors work by detecting infrared energy that objects emit and sense temperature differences as small as 3°C, on moving or still products. Senses from 0° to 300°C and available with analog or discrete outputs. Allows threshold adjustment and real-time information display through a PC and requires no emitter or controller. Uses remote or push-button programming. Available in three models for different target sizes and distances. Ideal for applications such as detecting hot parts, monitoring rollers, verifying that molded parts have been ejected and detecting hot glue.

EGE infrared detectors are used wherever and whenever temperatures have to be monitored and conventional sensors would fail due to excessive heat. They are especially robust, and and IP68 waterproof up to 3 bar and resistant to high-pressure cleaning and temperature and climate fluctuations (IP69K). The fiber glass optic is designed for the most extreme environmental conditions and can withstand temperatures up to 250°C, special version versions even up to 500°C.

EGE Series ODM detects energy radiated by a hot body in the near infrared range (1-3µm). Energy absorbed within the spectral range determines detected temperatures. Optical and assessment electronics are situated in a stainless steel casing. Series OD 100 detects temperatures up to 300°C without contact. Within this temperature range it is possible to adjust two switching points indicated by two colour LEDs with one analogue output 4-20mA. Series ODE infrared sensor measures the energy transmitted from an object from 1-3µm and offers four outputs which are independent of one another; two analogue outputs (current, voltage) and two outputs each with a switching threshold preselectable as either a relay change-over contact or as a semiconductor output. The required characteristic curve is preselected by a selector switch.
